Tom joined Bridgewater in 2003, and as Global Head of Institutional Partnerships, he is responsible for all third-party distribution and consultant relationships, in addition to a group of Bridgewater's strategic partnerships. He is also a member of the firm's Commercial and Business Strategy Committee.
Prior to Bridgewater, Tom served in the US government for 10 years in a variety of intelligence-related roles, and served three tours abroad in Eastern Europe, including two years in Bosnia as part of the NATO peacekeeping mission after the end of the conflict. After leaving government service and earning an MBA from the University of Texas-Austin (2001), Tom was a strategy consultant for Arthur D. Little, focused on corporate financial strategy.
Tom has had a variety of roles in Bridgewater’s Client Service department, including managing the client advisor teams, a role in which he was responsible for ensuring excellent service for our clients across the world. Tom has a BA in political science with a focus on Soviet-American relations from Yale College (1989), where he also played on the varsity hockey team for three years.
